The Day After Christmas

I woke up bright and early the day after Christmas asking Grandma, "Okay, now what are we going to do today?"....

"Go to Great Aunt Patti and Great Uncle Arthur's for Breakfast", she said.
Great-Grandma M. was there. She loves me.

Uncle Ray came along for the ride also.

This is Great- Uncle Arthur...looking tired.

And Audrey, a cousin once-removed (second cousin?..hm) she likes to swim, has a ton of ribbons in her room and runs 5k's.
Lawrence's arm flapping in the doorway.
Stewart was downstairs with pink-eye.
...This is Lawrence....Audrey and Stewart's little brother.

And here I am with Great-Aunt Patti..best buds!

After breakfast we drove up to Troy Missouri which is a mere ten minutes from the 61/40-I70 interchange.

Great Grandma K. sure does love me!!!

Great-Grandpa K. loves me too but was a little weak from his recent hospital stay, he held me for a very short time....
***************

We drove home and arrived in Columbia by late afternoon.
Whew! What a whirlwind Christmas!...

Peri-Christmas

great grammy m. and me.

Christmas was busy. We went to St. Louis in the evening and visited with Dad's extended family.

Here's Uncle Ray and my Dad.

l-r Amanda, Patti, Elliot, Hallie

The great aunts and cousins once removed fawned over me.
It took three of them to give me my bottle!

Great Uncle Clayton thought I was just the bomb..

"Boy I love this thing. I have absolutely no idea what it is but it changes colors and..WoW!! Mesmerizing!!!"

Yeah, hanging with Great Aunt Amanda. Talking. Telling everyone How it IS...(when will they ever understand what I'm saying?!?)

It felt SOOO good to stretch out!
thanks mom for letting me go with grandma!
nighty-night all...
Hope EVERYONE had a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Pre-Christmas.

Grandma and I went out to the mall the weekend before Christmas.
We didn't do much shopping, mainly  we walked around.
I laughed alot...
...then ate my hand.

Afterward, I was all tuckered out...

But we did get pictures with Santa..(and his beard was real!!)

Merry Christmas !!

another word!??!

Sitting on the edge of grandma's bed looking at mom, who was about to go out for the evening, I said, "Cookie"..
Grandma asked mom, "Did he just say cookie?"
She replied, "Yeah, that's what I heard.."
Cookie. hm. Not that I will say it again for a very long time....

directions on dressing

Start with clean diapers, choose the clothes, put on the onesie.
Be quick though because I put everything in my mouth.

Snapping the onesie can be difficult.

I move. ALOT!

Wait. A moment (brief) of reflection and calm.

Hurry with the pants, I just might kick them off..

..before they are completely on.
TA-DA! DRESSED!
Now travels can begin.

Going to Grandpa K's with Dad.

Good morning grandma! We've had a nice weekend.
Last night we watched Coraline. I didn't have bad dreams or anything.
And this morning we slept in until 11a.m., or you did, I slept later.
Obviously we were both TIRED.
We missed church.
I'm eating cereal now, yuck!
Still taking the bottle though, yeah!
This morning you fed me, changed me and read to me before dressing me.
You took a picture on your phone and texted it to my mom.
ah yes.
A very laid back weekend.
No shopping at the mall.

weekend with grandma

That was me last weekend.
Dad was holding me (the red and black shirt)..I'm talking, or is it, yawning?..hm.

I talk more. Grandma loves to listen to me. She talks to me too. My favorite person to talk to is Uncle Ray.
(this past weekend, she read to me, Dr. Suess' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"..I listened.)

Sometimes, I have VERY serious things to say.
At which point, even the cat listens.

Then. When it is time to move it is time to move!
Gotta run. Until next week.
Elliot.

after visiting @ grandma's house, dad took me to visit Grandpa Koenig. GK held me..alot!!!
I also visit with grandma janie and grandpa dave...they love me!
Mom is living with her dad (Grandpa Steve) and step-mom (Grandma Patti), so I get to see them alot too!

these days

Sometimes I have to talk. There is just so much to say!
At other times, I sit and think, wondering, "Who are these people and WHAT are they doing?"...
GR likes to sing to me. I giggle when she swoops me around in her arms.
Mom says I like the Shins and other groups. Quite frankly I'm just listening trying to get a handle on WHAT ON EARTH THAT SOUND IS!!
I like sunshine and air, a warm bottle, a good poo.

What do YOU think about the economy? The state of political affairs?...the...oh, a nice warm bottle, or a good poo sounds excellent right now! Maybe some floor time, my favorite!

You don't think so? Well....floor time would be fantastic. I love floor time......what?

You have to go?
Now?
unh....

..well... until we meet again.
big hugs and sweet kisses,
Elliot....

(i love my grandma!)
